While waiting for our trays of food to arrive, we pondered over the tea menu. So many choices O.o Paris, Decaf Earl grey, Japanese Sencha... all very exotic sounding XD. In the end, I chose Raspberry Herbal. It was as I expected. Not sweet, more sour, but still fruity tasting and smelling. Although my favourite was the Hot Cinnamon Spice tea that one of my friends had ordered. Very strong smell of cinnamon, even from a foot away, as well as being the only tea we had that had a hint of sweetness to it (I love sugar XD).

Then the trays arrived. Oh wow.
Bottom tray (finger sandwiches):
Cucumber and egg, Salmon and cheese, Ham and mustard
Middle tray (desserts):
Chocolate eclairs filled with custard, Soft sponge cake with cream, Mini fruit tarts with fruit covered in syrup, Lamingtons (cream and strawberry on top), Chocolate covered strawberries (XD)
Top tray:
Raisin scones (with jam and butter)
Needless to say the dessert tray was my favourite (Did I mention I love sugar? XD). O how I love chocolate covered strawberries~ As well as the eclairs filled with custard (I'm used to them being filled with cream). And the sandwiches were really good too :o especially the salmon one. It was also very entertaining watching some of my friends try to pick up the tiny treats and place them on their plates using ONLY their knife and fork, looked so unstable XD. Afterwards, we sat there chatting for about another hour before going our seperate ways.

Other occurrences of the day:
I bumped into 'someone' today. Was certainly not expecting that. Perhaps fate at its work? But that's for another post :3. I also met up with two of my high school friends and went up and downtown for about two hours, definitely tired me out ><. And I also bought a very nice blouse (I have been looking for one since boxing day, finally!). So even though all this occurred in the space of about five hours, I feel this was a very fulfilling day.
What I learnt today: My friend just taught me a new phrase in Japanese. Well I don't know if it's right, because he learnt it in anime, and sometimes hearing it being said is not the same as the correct phrase. But i learnt めんどうせん = What a hassle. (And I was having trouble thinking of something I learnt today, thanks friend! :D)
