An unfortunate discovery

Today I found out that one of my old high school friends had recently died (last week). At first I heard it from a close friend and she gave no mention of the name. I thought it was just one of her friends that she knew back then, so it didn't matter too much to me at the time, and I just tried to be supportive. But then I heard later, it was actually someone I knew. Someone I was acquainted with in school AND after graduation. She was in my class. Lovely girl. Hung out with her quite a few times and had interesting conversations. I wasn't AS close to her as some others, but doesn't mean it hasn't affected me. I was struck dumb. Rendered speechless for the next 10 minutes. I couldn't believe someone so young and so close to us would just leave the world, just like that.
She had died of heart failure. But she was so athletic  You wouldn't expect someone like that to just pass away of heart failure. And I didn't even know she'd been having chest pains and stuff, none of us did. We were all in shock. (well maybe except for a few close friends she still hung out with, a lot of us didn't really keep in contact after she went to another high school). She was about to start uni with us too. But then came the unfortunate incident.
It's at times like these that make you think about what you're doing with your life. Because it could happen to just ANYONE. Strikes a slight fear into a person really.
R.I.P to her~ Forever in our memories~
